This presentation will provide HR professionals (and others involved in the review of applicant and employee criminal history information) with practical information they can use when evaluating the reported criminal history of applicants and employees. We'll first cover the ʺnuts and boltsʺ of how criminal history information is triggered and collected, what various terms mean, and how to read the rap sheet itself. We'll then move on to ʺreading between the linesʺ and how to efficiently locate additional information you may want when evaluating an applicant's suitability for employment, or when investigating a criminal history incident involving a current employee.
